GATEWAY TO HOPE

South Suburban PADS launched the development of its new Gateway to Helping Others Potentially Excel (HOPE) Program on May 15, 2002. This new program combines some of PADS most successful supportive service programs, including:

Ø     Steps-to-Success Employment Readiness and Placement

Ø     Computer Training Services

Ø     After-school tutoring and enrichment

Ø     Pre-school testing and assessments

Ø     Budgeting & Life Skills

With PADS Daytime’s newest programs including:

Ø     Navigating the Internet

Ø     Basic Web Design – A Launching PAD for a career in Computers

By combining the resources of these programs, South Suburban PADS is establishing a new approach to the delivery of supportive services for persons who are homeless. The Gateway to HOPE program will not replace these individual initiatives, but will extract the key ingredients from these proven programs. Gateway to HOPE is not for everyone. While every PADS guest will be eligible for consideration, the “Gateway” program is for those children and adults who are ready to EXCEL!
