Features and Benefits
- Gaps which may exist in helping individuals move
towards self-sufficiency are eliminated.
- An assessment of the needs of the homeless as
viewed by those who are homeless is created.
- A complete directory of the HPO's available in the
community and the services which they provide, in an effort to offer
providers and those seeking assistance an accurate support/reference
service.
- An online, frequently updated resource bank of
services which are currently available.
- Communications linking HPO's, government entities,
libraries, schools (etc.), and individuals together.
- An accurate, unduplicated count of people seeking
assistance and services in the regions, including the services an
individual is currently or has previously obtained and the frequency
in which services are requested. This will provide the
mechanism for determining and eliminating duplicate services.
- Longitudinal tracking of services provided to an
individual. This will assist an agency in establishing which
clients should be motivated along the continuum of care.
- An accurate picture of the "reasons for
becoming homeless" and their relative percentages.
- The patterns those seeking assistance follow from
the time they become homeless to when they reach self sufficiency.
